Theo Brinks took my course – Creativity and Personal Mastery – many years ago.
During this period he had an ‘awakening’ experience which changed the trajectory of his life.
He has been on his own journey since then and is deeply aligned with the ideas I share with you.
His output is prolific and you can view it at: https://soft-twilight-a4426c.netlify.app/#ch0
The Coffee Spill is a piece of writing that has a deep lesson. I have shared the same insight in an earlier blog.
Please tell me if this resonates with you.

The Coffee Spill
Let me tell you a simple story.
Imagine you are holding a cup of coffee.
Someone suddenly bumps into you…
and the coffee spills everywhere.
Now let me ask you a question.
Why did the coffee spill?
Most people answer:
“Because someone bumped into me.”
But that is not actually true.
The coffee spilled because coffee was inside the cup.
If tea had been inside, tea would have spilled.
If water had been inside, water would have spilled.
What spills out is simply what was already inside.
Life works exactly the same way.
People bump into us all the time.
A difficult conversation.
A stressful email.
A financial problem.
Someone criticizes us.
Someone ignores us.
Someone disappoints us.
And in those moments something spills out.
Sometimes it is anger.
Sometimes it is stress.
Sometimes it is fear.
Sometimes it is frustration.
But Zeropoint shows us something very important.
The situation did not create the reaction.
The situation revealed what was already inside the cup.
When the inner state is pressure, pressure spills out.
When the inner state is fear, fear spills out.
But when the inner state is clarity…
then clarity spills out.
And this is the key insight.
We spend most of our lives trying to control the bumps.
Trying to prevent people from bumping into us.
Trying to make life smooth.
But Zeropoint takes a completely different approach.
Instead of trying to control every bump…
we change what is inside the cup.
Because when clarity fills the cup,
life can bump into you all day long…
and clarity is still what spills out.
That is Zeropoint.
Not controlling life.
But becoming clear enough inside that whatever happens outside…
you remain stable.
